Davis and the Loose Cannons

Davis Loose is an Up and Comin’, Honky-Tonkin, Guitar Pickin’ Country Music Force! His love for country music began when he was just a little fella, spending time with his Grandpa listening to Merle Haggard, Jimmie Rodgers, Buck Owens, Johnny Horton and Marty Stuart.

Davis hails from the Nation’s Oldest City, St. Augustine, Florida. A city rich with music history and a love for live music. From ages eight to eleven Davis was a “mascot” volunteer at the renowned St. Augustine Amphitheater. At The Amp he was able to see many of his heroes perform. It was there that he fell in love with the one of a kind energy that can only be found at a concert. He was praised from stage by Dale Watson calling him “the hardest workin’ little man in show business”!

His parents saw his passion for Country Music and got him his first guitar when he was three. At eleven he began to tenaciously hone his guitar skills. He entered the Gamble Rogers Music Festival Youth Competition and was awarded his first recording session. Davis is now recognized by the Gamble Rogers Music Festival as the first ever Youth Ambassador.

Davis played the inaugural St. Augustine Songwriters Festival in 2017, as the only local songwriter from St. Augustine to be involved. He was asked to come back to play the festival in 2018 and 2019.  From this Davis met accomplished Nashville songwriter Mark Irwin and together they penned “Why Cry Now”, “Drinkin’ Beer On a Saturday Night” and “The Man I Wanna Be”.

At thirteen Davis formed his band-Davis and The Loose Cannons. The Loose Cannons play Traditional Country, Ameripolitan and Original Country Music. Davis Loose is the lead vocalist and plays rhythm and lead guitar. Stan Coffman on steel guitar, and his Silver Sparkle Telecaster, Angie Bascom on upright bass and Kevin Mileski on drums. Davis and the Loose Cannons have been playing bars, festivals and anywhere they can find a gig since their formation in 2015. The Loose Cannons have opened for artists such as Josh Card, The Steeldrivers and The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. Davis and The Loose Cannons bring a high energy, honky-tonkin, good timin’ live show and will impress you with their energy, musicality and well-honed performances. Davis also had the humbling opportunity to play The Bluebird Cafe’ and The Listening Room Cafe’ in Nashville, Tn over the summer of 2019.

The Loose Cannons have just released their first album, titled- The Next Lonesome Road. The album includes eleven original songs, of which two are co-writes with professional songwriter Mark Irwin. Davis was honored to have his personal mentor Marty Stuart pen the liner notes for this album “Davis, Great job. Like them all – Especially Bring Back My Broken Heart”.  The Next Lonesome Road is now available on streaming platforms such as iTunes, Google Play and Spotify.
